Metabolomics is the process of detection, quantification and analysis of metabolites. It provides information on the current physiological state of an individual including the effects of genetics, lifestyle and medical conditions. We are using metabolomics to analyze the effect of medical cannabis treatment on individuals with medical conditions in order to develop proprietary cannabis-responsive biomarkers.
These biomarkers will allow us to determine cannabis' mode of action and eventually predict the impact of medical cannabis treatment on each individual. Since everyone is different, we will use our proprietary bioinformatics platform to match each individual with the best available products, dosage and consumption method based on their cannabis-dependent biomarkers and our bioinformatics database.
As the Cannformatics database grows, we will apply artificial intelligence tools to predict the optimal cannabis product and dosage with just one saliva sample.

Pre-Consumption: Individual seeking medical cannabis recommendations for a known medical condition sends a saliva sample to Cannformatics.
Using our proprietary cannabis-responsive biomarker technology, we recommend a range of products and dosages optimized to reduce symptoms based on individual physiological state, genetic makeup, lifestyle and health.
Post-Consumption: Individual sends saliva sample to refine treatment.
Cannformatics remains in contact with the individual, updating recommendations based on changes in the product landscape. If there is a change in health, wellness or lifestyle it is recommended that a new baseline is established (Step 1).
